OUR HISTORY
Clearpool was founded in 1901 as a summer camp that offered disadvantaged children a temporary escape from inner city New York. In 1990, Clearpool Education Center redefined itself to become a year-round second campus for its public school partners as well as other educational and human service organizations.

Our facilities have been modernized and improved, but we could not improve upon the pristine surroundings that were here over a hundred years ago. They still inspire our imaginations and infuse our programs.

After 100 years, Clearpool still offers the finest outdoor education facilities and curriculum.


		Instructors Each of our instructors brings a unique expertise to Clearpool program offerings. Many have teaching degrees or advanced degrees in research fields. But whether it's experience in environmental research, farming or extensive training in wilderness skills, the enthusiasm of our educators is contagious and they share a passion for inspiring children to learn.
